Special Exhibitions 1987-1990
During his tenure as resident lighting designer for the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Principal Steven Hefferan was responsible for the lighting design of more than 100 special exhibition and permanent collection reinstallations. These exhibits displayed every major historical period, object type, and conservation category represented in the Met's collection. We bring the experience gained in meeting the challenges associated with safely illuminating some of the world's most treasured artwork to all of our special exhibition projects.
With hundreds of exhibits completed over the last 20 years, Hefferan Partnership can provide clients with a full range of professional exhibit lighting services that will not only meet conservation criteria, but will strive to find the most revealing balance of angle, intensity, color and shadow for very object.
