Booth Western Art Museum

This new regional museum asked Hefferan Partnership to ensure that the lighting design would be easy to maintain, flexible, and cost effective. To offer the greatest simplicity, the design uses only two lamp types, yet still provides the means to create visually compelling presentations. Ceiling-mounted lighting track also serves as the structural support for the acoustical ceiling system and offers the museum maximum adaptability within the galleries. Discreet recessed fixtures illuminate the artifact-filled common areas.

As resident lighting designer for the Metropolitan Museum of Art in the late 1980's, Principal Steven Hefferan developed a clear understanding of the realities of maintenance in large institutions. This experience has led to designs and specifications that meet these needs with emphasis on practical solutions that stand the test of time.
