Between 1981 and 1988, Principal Steven Hefferan designed the lighting for the weekly display windows at the Bergdorf Goodman and Barney's New York department stores in New York City. These quick studies reinforced important lessons concerning the interaction of light, color and three dimensional form first learned in Steve's theatrical training.

During the decade, Steve lit over 5,000 display windows collaborating with these trend setting creative teams.
